How We Work
| 1. |
If you are a new customer please fill in the log in application form by clicking on to the “apply for login “ button.
| 2. |
Please fill in the application form to the fullest.
| 3. |
We ask for 3 trade references, these are not for the purpose of doing a credit check but for us, L & P Textiles, to see that you do purchase goods from other wholesalers proving that you do purchase goods for retail purposes. This is done for the protection of the retail industry as we do not supply directly to private buyers nor do we supply directly to any quilting guilds of any nature.
| 4. |
Once we have received the login application we will issue you with a username and a user code. The username and password allows you access to the prices of the items. It also allows you access to a shopping cart were you can place orders.
| 5. |
Once you are logged in you can navigate your way around the site in the following manor. Click on the fabric brand you wish to view , these are large green buttons. Once you have selected your fabric brand it will open the next page showing you what is “Future Fabrics” or “what’s in Stock” or “basics”.
| 6. |
By clicking on future fabrics you will see fabric collections that are to be imported and distributed to those who order them. The expected delivery month is shown next to the name of each collection. These dates may vary every now and then. Most of the time our suppliers run on time with the collections but sometimes a collection might run late on their delivery.
| 7. |
All future fabrics are open for orders to customers provided you are in line with and respect our terms and conditions of sale. You as a customer are not billed for any future orders until they arrive and are ready to be dispatched to you.
| 8. |
We as L & P Textiles do not keep your orders until complete, we invoice what is available and dispatch on payment received.
| 9. |
We as L & P Textiles are importers and distributors of the various products shown on our website. We are reliant on the supply from our suppliers and therefore cannot guarantee that we shall receive everything in full that we have on order with our suppliers. Should the situation arise that we will not be receiving a full shipment of goods we will notify you as the customer on the items involved.
| 10. |
As future fabrics are being ordered we keep a calculation of what is being sold once we have reached the amount of the total of the goods ordered by L & P Textiles the item becomes “booked out”. A “Booked out “ or “sold out “ item cannot be ordered when logged in. Where possible on a popular item we do our best to increase the amount ordered by L & P Textiles to accommodate all orders.
| 11. |
Before each shipment arrives in South Africa to L & P Textiles we send out a email advising all customers of what we expecting to be delivered to us.
| 12. |
When “future group” fabrics arrive at L & P Textiles they are moved from the “future fabrics” category on our web site to the “in stock now” section. Any fabrics in this section that are available for ordering may be ordered. Once the group is completely sold out it is removed from the site.
| 13. |
Fabrics in the categories called “Basics” we receive on a monthly basis from our various suppliers. Should you place a order and not receive the item immediately it means the item is temporarily out of stock with us but will be back in stock with the next shipment due to us. We will automatically keep this item on a back order and prepare it for dispatch when it next comes back in stock. You may contact us at any time to find out when we expect the outstanding items to arrive.
| 14. |
Items in the Notions section are stocked up by L & P Textiles on a monthly basis, here too should you not receive a item that you have ordered it will go on a back order and sent to you when it next comes back in stock.
| 15. |
Should you not wish your items to be placed on a back order please notify us so we can remove them.
| 16. |
L & P Textiles reserves the right to dispatch a piece of fabric in lengths of less than 3m should we reach the end of a roll.
| 17. |
A new search engine facility has been activated on our website, simply enter the collection name to find the collection or you may enter the item code to find the individual item you are looking for.
